THE CHIEF

In the aftermath of a radical procedure designed to cure cerebral palsy, Larry Trainor discovered his ability to manifest his inner essence in a negatively charged “soul self” and was given the opportunity to escape from his disabled body. He has been freed from the constraints of his former life, but every scientific breakthrough comes at a price. His freedom is only granted for sixty seconds at a time, and the newly named Negative Man has never fully recovered from his frailties.
ELASTI-GIRL
Once an aspiring actress, Rita Farr was destined for a life away from the glaring eyes of the American public. It was through mysterious circumstances that she gained the ability to shrink and expand her body to immense highs and microscopic lows. However, everything has a downside. Rita’s abilities are determined by the self-esteem she currently holds for herself and the woman known as Elasti-Girl is nothing if not a tumultuous individual.
MENTO
Steve Dayton was a millionaire who harbored a strong admiration for the Chief, which would in turn lead him to aiding misfits like his idol has before him. However, Steve is not as detached as he would appear as a man with considerable psychic abilities. His powers are augmented through a helmet of his own design but the creation and power boosts come at a cost. Steve’s sanity is chipped away every time he uses his abilities to save the world, and the man otherwise known asMento continues to make the risk while slipping further and further from reality.
CHERRY BOMB
Cheryl Tate is the newest person to have been folded into their covert operations after a metagene left her with the ability to emit immensely powerful explosion at will. Her powers manifested with deadly consequences and she currently struggles to find herself and learn all she has to in the aftermath in to make the world a safer place for and from her. Now known as Cherry Bomb, she’s still learning from those around her.
