If you’re a new reader to DC Omega, you probably have some questions about the group even after going through some of the series and the continuity. This page serves as a place where you can find answers to the questions most frequently asked by people who are new to the site or interested in checking it out.

  • Recently we have split DC Omega into two Imprints – DC Omega – A Comics based continuity with a definitive cut-off point of Post-Rebirth, and DC Omega Unlimited – an Ultimate-style continuity-free site where we are reinventing the mythos and characters from the ground up.
  • What’s DC Omega all about?
    • DC Omega is a fan fiction group dedicated to the DC Comics universe. Our titles are set in a rebooted version of the DC universe, so there is no previous continuity. It operates as an “Ultimate” style
  • What do you mean by shared?
    • DCO isn’t an archive site like Fanfiction.net or Wattpad. Instead, everyone writes within a shared universe. Writers write for different titles, much like creative teams write for different comics at the real DC.
  • The old DC Omega had both Vertigo and Wildstorm imprints. Does this one?
    • If you look at our submissions page, you can see that we are accepting proposals for both Vertigo and Wildstorm titles.
  • Will Vertigo and Wildstorm titles be set in separate universes?
    • We’d prefer if Wildstorm titles could be integrated into the new DC universe we’re building, much like how DC and Wildstorm have done since the New 52 began. Vertigo titles will depend on the title—some like Hellblazer or Swamp Thing could be integrated into the main universe, but others like The Invisibles would be harder to work into the DC universe.
  • I’m interested in writing for DC Omega. How do I submit a proposal?
    • Check out the submissions page, it’ll tell you everything you need to do.
  • Is there a reading order for the site?
    • Unfortunately no. Given the size of the site and the sheer number of stories that have been written, a comprehensive reading order would be very difficult to assemble. However, our writers and editors have been pretty conscious about this, and have indicated that certain issues take place before or after others. Like with mainstream DC Comics, your best bet is to just use your own judgment when reading stories to determine where they fall in continuity. That said, all our issues are marked with the month and year they were released, so you can use that as a rough guide. Continuity errors are, of course, unavoidable with such a wealth of material and writers, but we try our best to keep them to a minimum and to make corrections or clarifications when we’re aware of them.
  • Is this site affiliated with Marvel Omega?
    • Marvel Omega is a sister site to DC Omega, with a continuity cut-off. Check out Marvel Omega for more.
