SUPERMAN

SupermanKal-El is the sole survivor of the planet Krypton, sent to Earth moments before its destruction when he was just a baby. Raised as Clark Kent in Smallville, Kansas by Jonathan and Martha Kent, he is endowed with incredible abilities by Earth’s yellow sun. For years, Clark traveled the world, using his powers to help people in secret. But now in Metropolis, he has taken on the name Superman and is the first public superhero, and his example has inspired others to take on secret identities as well. But his powers lead some to question whether or not he’s here for the benefit of mankind.


BATMAN

BatmanBruce Wayne witnessed his parents gunned down and was traumatized by the event. He nonetheless used it as a driving force in his life, dedicating himself to the eradication of crime in vengeance. Spending years traveling the world, schooling himself in science, criminology, and various forms of armed and unarmed conflict. Wayne returned to Gotham and, with the resources of his company, began a one-man war on crime as the Batman, a mystery considered by many to be an urban legend but his time in the shadows has come to a rapid ending.


WONDER WOMAN

Wonder WomanSculpted from clay by the hands of Queen Hippolyta and given life by a collective of goddesses, Diana spent much of her life on Themiscyra, the lone child in a land of immortal women. Raised in paradise on a steady diet of art, philosophy and combat, coupled the love of her grown sisters, Diana grew into the most worthy of Amazons, and by way of contest earned the right to represent her people as a champion in the world of men. Though she might never return to Themiscyra, Diana fights valiantly for truth and justice, and has embraced her destiny as Wonder Woman.


MARTIAN MANHUNTER

Centuries ago, the population of the planet Mars was wiped out—all save for J’onn J’onzz. Transported through space and time, he ended up on the planet Earth in the 1950s. Since then, J’onn has wandered the planet, using his shapeshifting abilities in order to blend in and learn more about humanity. He since took up residence in Happy Harbor where he’s monitored the rise of the metahumans with great interest.

 


AQUAMAN

AquamanBelieving himself to be a boy like any other, Arthur Curry never felt entirely comfortable in Amnesty Bay. Unaware of his true origins, as the son of an Atlantean princess and thus a Prince of Atlantis, until after the death of his father, Arthur had created a life for himself as a sailing instructor and part-time gym teacher. Dubbed Aquaman by the media, the environmental warrior continues to struggle with the fine line between heroism and terrorism in his fight against those he believes dangerous. His body is adapted to survive indefinitely in water, including durability and superhuman strength.


THE FLASH

The FlashWally West entered college with no plans for the future and no idea of what he was going to do with his life. That all changed when a bizarre laboratory accident left him with the ability to move at superhuman speed. Now literally the fastest man alive, Wally believes that he’s found his calling in life—saving people on a regular basis as the costumed superhero, the Flash. After a year of service and membership with the Justice League, the Flash has become the heroic idol of Central City.


GREEN LANTERN

Green LanternKyle Rayner grew up with little self-esteem due to an absent father and a mother who had to constantly work to support him. Despite that, he was gifted with a great and powerful imagination and now, Kyle is a young freelance artist who has been handed the most powerful weapon in the universe, the power ring of the Green Lantern Corps. As the Green Lantern, Kyle can fly, create hard-light constructs, and possesses various other abilities, limited only by his willpower and imagination.
